Adrinka symbols of West Africa where the theme for P4 group work. We had a really fun (and challenging) workshop with my biggest class of 100! Pupils learned about the history and different meanings of some of the symbols. Lots of which are seen everyday here in Ghana, from cloth, jewelry to logos and even on Taxis. Check out this great website for more info. www.adinkra.org Usually they are block printed but due to the size of the class we made stencils and sponged through the templates to make our repeat patterns.
